"DystoPop" is the amalgamation of the words "dystopian" and "popular music." Cellophane Riot began referring to their style of music as "DystoPop" due to the sanctioned, cathartic act of quietly rebelling through vague assertions couched in moody songs. Their songs discuss or examine humanity as it relates to sociopolitical constructs, the human condition, and introspection.
