Award-winning Canadian singer/songwriter Amanda Jean delivers a genuine & heartfelt sound to her music while still maintaining a pop sensibility. Known for her vocal versatility & songwriting skills within the music industry, Amanda Jean writes and records in various genres (Pop/R&B, Country, EDM, Alternative, Contemporary, etc). Her songs have reached the likings of Tim McGraw & Faith Hill, Warner/Chappell, Freedo, Rachel Woznow, Zeper, Delove, Ann Sophie, and many others.
Amanda Jean began her music career in rural Saskatchewan where she grew up. She was put into piano lessons at the age of 5, and quickly developed a passion for music & songwriting. At the age of 15, she began playing shows across western Canada. As a country performer, Amanda Jean has opened for artists such as Gord Bamford, George Canyon, Jessie Bridges, and others.
At 17-years-old, Amanda Jean represented Canada at The World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, CA, where she was a gold-medalist for her songwriting & vocal performances. There, she met award-winning producer Marc Mdoc Williams (Madonna, Janet Jackson, Kelly Rowland) and recorded her first EP. Her single “Beautiful” was her first song to hit western Canadian country radio stations in 2009.
Amanda Jean went on to study Audio Engineering & Music Production at SAE Institute Vancouver (formerly known as Harbourside Institute of Technology), graduating with a diploma and Pro Tools 101, 110, and 130 credentials. She currently resides in North Vancouver, BC, where she continues to write & record and collaborate with others in the music industry.
