Flat Moon are a 5 piece hailing from Leeds, fusing funk, psychedelia and alternative rock, combining lyrics fuelled by their youthful uncertainty, to pioneer a new and unique genre they call Brit funk (or B-Funk). Damn, do these boys love to jam. When they’re not at uni studying a variety of different music degrees (bar one studying film), they are mastering their instruments whilst constantly writing & demoing tunes in their basement studio, aptly named the Funk Bunker* - which they also use to record other up & coming artists. The bands most reputable exposure came when they opened for Twisted Wheel at a sold out Wardrobe gig in October last year. This was soon followed by the bands first headline slot at Oporto in Leeds, nearly selling out the 120 cap venue on a Tuesday night in March.
