Sometimes you worry. Sometimes you listen to Pineapple Road and just forget about it!

Music made to make you feel good, the same way it works for singer/producer Jan Demming, while he writes songs together with multi-instrumentalist Tom van der Laan. ”Tom’s just always happy, and writes music that challenges me to replicate that in my singing”, says Jan. Inspired by the funky guitars and vocal harmonies of Parcels, the intricate arrangements of Glass Animals and the retro-freshness of the sound of L’Impératrice, Pineapple Road strive to discover new soundscapes that make you smile.

Since the beginning of their songwriting sessions in 2018 in their home studio in Leiden (NL) the duo has released three singles, as well as one music video (surprisingly corona-related). Pineapple Road released their first album titled Fruit Machine on 11.12.2020, fusing all their influences into a 10-song pop rollercoaster.

For 2021 Pineapple Road plan to put together a 5-piece band to play live shows as soon as the Corona-situation allows. Meanwhile, they’re already working on new material, picking it up where some of their latest productions like La France and Millionaire took them.
