Red As Ruby trained as a classical pianist and viola player before deciding to see what else she could do. A decision to fulfill a long-held secret ambition to sing with a jazz band recently put her back on a musical path. Her songs fall into two categories - jazzy-pop and folky-ambient and she also write instrumental music for film.
