Silva was originally formed in the mid ‘90’s by a group of school friends from the Clare/Limerick border. With a focus on song craft and experimentation rather than musicianship, the band made some progress and had a lot of fun along the way...but ultimately fell by the wayside as members left for university and life moved on.

Now many years later, and with time and some tech involved, some old songs (supported by a few new tunes) are being revisited - and many recorded for the first time.

The music wears it’s influence on it’s sleeve - Pavement, Wilco, dEUS, Bonnie Prince Billy etc - and has all been home recorded during various lockdowns in County Meath.

Who knows some day maybe the band will play live together again.
